Quality and sustainability

At the Oroel Group we have a Quality Management System certified according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard, which allows us to:

  • Have a clear orientation towards improvement
  • Greater assurance of meeting product and service requirements and understanding customer expectations to increase customer satisfaction
  • Better understand the context in which we carry out our activity
  • To address the risks and opportunities that lie ahead with greater confidence.

The implementation of an Environmental Management System in Confecciones Oroel, S.A. according to ISO 14001:2015, which takes into account the life cycle of our activities, products and services, has helped to improve our environmental performance annually.

In our efforts to adopt practices that minimise the environmental impact derived from our activity, we have the AENOR Zero Waste certificate, which recognises that we recover the waste we generate, within the defined scope, avoiding having landfill disposal as its final destination.

ISO 14001 Standard and Oroel Environmental Performance (2025 update)

Due to our commitment to the environment, at Confecciones Oroel S.A. we have implemented an environmental management system according to the ISO 14001 standard. This system seeks “Environmental Protection”. This is achieved through a defined strategy of  management of environmental risks that may arise from our business activity.

To comply with the requirements of this standard, the organization must communicate externally and internally the information relevant to its environmental performance.

The following is information on the efforts carried out by Confecciones Oroel to improve its environmental performance:

  • Maintenance of zero waste certification. According to the verification report issued by AENOR, in 2023, 96.74% of the waste generated at Confecciones Oroel S.A. was destined for recovery
  • Registration in the Register of Carbon Footprint, Compensation andCO2 Absorption Projects of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge for scope 1+2 for the 2023 period. The “CALCULATION / COMPENSATION” seal has been obtained
  • We are committed to the consumption of recycled paper. By 2024, 96.29% of the office paper consumed at Confecciones Oroel is recycled.
  • Bags made from 100% recycled plastic are used as primary packaging. In addition, 100% biodegradable and compostable bags made of renewable plant materials (potato starch) are available in accordance with the En 13432 Standard.
  • Increase in the turnover of customers renting protective clothing.
  • Research project ECO2OEL. with which we intend to advance our products towards the circular economy and science-based sustainability, with measurable results that move away from the well-known Greenwashing, addressing recyclability, the use of recycled materials, and the time of use of garments so that they can be effectively monitored by ourselves.
