When it comes to choosing the best clothing for technical rescue operations, many questions may arise. Here are some of the most common ones:
For which activities is technical rescue clothing suitable?
Technical rescue clothing is suitable for assisting in traffic accidents, accessing collapsed structures or performing rescue operations in the absence of fire. In general, technical rescue clothing temporarily protects against possible flash fires that may occur in such interventions, but it is not specifically designed for firefighting.
However, the protective suits that we manufacture in Oroel are multi-risk and protect the user in any situation.
For which activities is technical rescue clothing not suitable?
In general, technical rescue clothing is not indicated for fighting structural or forest fires, situations of exposure to chemical substances, water rescues, or situations requiring chainsaw work. In these cases, it is necessary to have PPE specifically manufactured for this type of tasks.
A differential factor of Oroel’s technical rescue workwear is its multi-risk function. They have been manufactured to be effective in rescue operations, but also in firefighting and as protection against forest fires.
What are the requirements for technical rescue clothing?
Technical rescue clothing does not include a convective heat requirement, but it does include a contact heat requirement, which is not covered by these standards.
